Professional background
Since 1987 he has been a director at GKN in Tokyo, responsible for engineer training and customer support. Applied his Japanese experience as co-founder of the Kaizen Institute of Europe in 1990. Later became a director at McKinsey, where he established the lean manufacturing consulting division all over Europe, China, the USA and Russia. Based on his wide-ranging experience in lean implementation, he was employed as senior advisor to Jim Womack's Lean Enterprise Institute (USA) in 2011.
