Professional background
As factory manager and executive director of various companies in the automobile industry, he has been working on lean methods and their introduction and adaptation to the Western cultural sphere for many years. He had the opportunity successfully to introduce a production management system in 12 factories for a major supplier to the automotive industry. Mr Atzert has been deeply involved in process synchronisation in production and administration. He was awarded the German Quality Award in 1999.
